Each year, Brandywine Electronics is proud to provide audio production for Special Olympics Delaware’s annual Lewes Polar Bear Plunge.
BEL arrives early with the sun to temporarily place speakers to cover hundreds of feet of the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk and Rehoboth Avenue. While the early morning tunes are probably most noticed, the sound system is most important for announcements and Plunger safety.
“BEL’s system allowed our Bears and spectators to enjoy the music and interviews with special guests no matter where they were along the six-block radius on the boardwalk or the beach. And just as importantly, the powerful system allowed us to communicate important information in regards to safety precautions leading up to and following the plunge. BEL took the communication system at the plunge to another level this year and we look forward to the partnership continuing for years to come.”

“We continue to be amazed at the outpouring of support for the event from our veteran Bears, and even the spectators who may not go in, but contribute by supporting other Bears who do. The money is spectacular, but what is even more important is the awareness this event brings to the public in regards to the tremendous talents of our athletes, and not just on the playing fields, but in every aspect of their lives.”
-Ann Grunert (SODE Executive Director)
